GENERAL COMMUNITY INFORMATION ………

People Attraction Strategy - Maranoa Regional Council invites interested community members to attend a Community Briefing Session at the Ernest Brock Room, Roma on Thursday 10 November 2011 from 11.00am – 1.00pm. The Economic Development Unit of Maranoa Regional Council has commissioned Megan Dixon of Seed Business Solutions to work with them to develop a people attraction strategy for the region. The MPAS will be staged in 3 separate projects, the conclusion of each stage providing an opportunity to review findings and provide a go/no go opportunity. This is to ensure a sequential project that will advance on well considered information and obtain maximum buy-in from the community and sponsors. The three stages include: 1. Identify and survey target markets, identify key motivators, review regional attraction collateral and current efforts; 2. Develop a marketing strategy, design a campaign and budget, and develop funding applications to sponsors for funds; and 3. Implement strategy, measure. A successful people attraction strategy requires “buy-in” and support of the project from units across the Council, as well as the community. This workshop is an opportunity for you to have input into the first phase of the project.

Until next time! :)

Cheers,
Sharyn.
